A great part of spending time in Boston is attending some of the thousands of events taking

place every month.  Here are eight calendars showing  some of them.

 

 

Boston.com  This is basically the on-line version of the Boston Globe Calendar. It is updated daily and contains recommendations
Going.com
 Going.com is a comprehensive list of things to do, events, nightlife, parties, activities, concents, and shows in Boston, Cambridge, Somerville, Allston, Brighton and Newton. See what's going on today.
 Upcoming Upcoming includes many local events, with the empasis on music. It is produced by Yahoo.
 Search Boston Home Page - Click Here! Boston Happenings Calendar - a good one! Lots of weird events not listed anywhere else. Includes a wide variety of cultural, music and intellectual events.  They also have a BUSINESS EVENTS CALENDAR!
Harvard University Institute of Politics The Kennedy School of Government at Harvard sponsors many different events open to the public. The JFK Jr. Forum presents interesting speakers almost every evening at 6 pm. Here is the schedule
 City of Boston  Thanks to the new movement towards transparency in government, most working sessions are open to the public. Here is the schedule - anyone can attend.
 Boston University  Of course, Boston University has its own events calendar.  Here it is.
 
 This is the Massachusetts Institute of Technology's events calendar. Lots of the events are free, and some are even understandable by normal people.
